Atlantis Banal: Beneath the Surface

This autumn, Catherine Wheels is honoured to invite you to the opening of a brand new exhibition (or is it a show?) from famed artist, Atlantis Banal (or is it Shona Reppe?)

Born on an island, hit by lightning and raised by a dry cleaner, Atlantis Banal is an artist like no other – unafraid to make an exhibition of herself and ask the big questions….We’re just not sure what they are.

Atlantis Banal: Beneath the Surface is a brand new immersive theatre show by “the queen of Scottish children’s theatre” Shona Reppe, inviting young people and their families to question art and what it means to be an artist. Can anything be art? Can anyone be an artist?

Read more about why Shona wants to dispel the idea that art if for the elite in her recent interview with The List.
