Meanwhile closer to home…

Each year, we take one of our productions into schools across Scotland, reaching around 7000 children.

Catherine Wheels’ The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk has been performed all over the world including The Sydney Opera House and at festivals in Washington DC, Auckland and Edinburgh but in February and March this year, it will be performed over sixty times in schools halls in East Lothian, Highlands and Islands, City of Edinburgh, Glasgow City, West Lothian, Scottish Borders, Inverclyde, Aberdeen City and South Lanarkshire. Fife Council schools will have the chance to see performances at Carnegie Hall. Highland Touring Network will also present school performances at MacPhail Centre (Ullapool), Spectrum Centre (Inverness) and Dunoon Burgh Hall.

Please contact us to find out about how to get Catherine Wheels to your school in 2015.

Fostering New Talent

Catherine Wheels and Imaginate have recently been awarded the only BBC’s Performing Arts Fund Fellowship this year in Scotland and we are very excited that recent graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Peter Lannon, will be based with us to develop his skills and experience as a director.

The Theatre Fellowship scheme aims to support individuals through the early stages of their theatre careers, helping them to establish themselves in the professional world through bespoke placements within existing theatre organisations.
