LIFEBOAT IN NEW ZEALAND & AUSTRALIA
Following last year's successful run at the New Victory Theatre on New York's Boardway, Lifeboat is heading down under in February 2008. The company has been invited to perform the award winning production at the New Zealand International Arts Festival in Wellington, and at Sydney Opera House in Australia.
This will be the first time that a Scottish Children's Theatre Company will perform at this prestigious

THE LION OF KABUL
The Lion of Kabul has been invited to be part of the Bank of Scotland Imaginate Children's Theatre Festival, Spring 2008. The Lion of Kabul, which premiered in 2006, tells the incredible true story of Marjan, the lion of Kabul. Marjan was gifted to Afghanistan in the 1960s and survived years of civil unrest, war and the Taliban regime. The production features live music and film, and is performed by Catherine Wheels' artistic director Gill Robertson.

GOING SOLO
Going Solo
involves the development of two solo performances for primary schools, created and performed by Andy Jay Manley, under direction of Catherine Wheels' artistic director. The project is run in partnership with six local authorities across Scotland and performances will take place in school halls and classrooms. Aimed for Primary 4-5 and 6-7, this project will run in Autumn 2007 and Spring 2008.
Kappa

The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk

SOMETHING ELSE
In partnership with local authorities, Catherine Wheels will tour with A Town Called Elsewhere, a play for Primary 1 - 3 based on the award winning The Strange Man by the acclaimed Danish Company, Patrasket. It is a charming and humorous story which looks at issues such as being different, feeling different and fitting it.
This Arts in Education project offers pre & post-show workshops, Teachers Resource Pack and a CPD programme. The project will run in Autumn 2008. For futher information please contact us.

THE BOOK OF BEASTS
The Book of Beasts,
a new show based on E Nesbit's book and devised by the company, will be touring venues in April - May 2009. Please contact us for available dates.

SHONA REPPE PUPPETS
Shona Reppe returns with Olga Volt The Electric Fairy. Following a successful venue tour in Autumn 2007 Shona will be performing Olga Volt at the Puppet Animation Festival this Spring and at the Bank of Scotland Imaginate Festival 2008. AWARDS
Lifeboat
was nominated for Best Visiting Production at the prestigous Manchester Evening News Awards 2007 and The Lion of Kabul was nomatinated for Best Children's Show in the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland 2007.
Catherine Wheels' artistic director won the award for Best Children's Show in the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland 2006 for her collaboration with the National Theatre of Scotland on Home: East Lothian and artistic associate Karen Tennent was another winner with Best Design for the same production.


CONGRATULATIONS!
More awards for Catherine Wheels!  Craig Fleming, Catherine Wheels' production manager won the Stage Management Association award for Individual Achievement in stage management.  The Stage Management Assocation award is a national award to recognise and celebrate the sterling work of the people behind the scenes.
